Talking about this, When it comes to WordPress, security is highly valued. Probably you’ve heard about changing your WordPress login page URL in-order to enhance security. Most of us can do that while most can’t.
Changing your WordPress login page URL is an effective security technique that can help keep hackers out of your site. This means people are less likely to gain access to your site unless you want them to which you’ll be the one to offer them your login page URL.
In this, we’ll briefly discuss how to do so using a free plugin.
How to change your WordPress login page URL

To change your WordPress login page URL, we highly recommend WPS Hide Login.
This is a lightweight plugin that gets the job done simply and quickly in just a simple click.
You’ll want to start out by backing up your site, just to be safe and clear. Then, you’ll need to install and activate the plugin from your WordPress dashboard.
After those tasks are successfully carried out, navigate to Settings >> General in your WordPress dashboard.
If you scroll to the very bottom of the page, you’ll find a new section labeled WPS Hide Login.
Select the section.
This option will enable you to create a new URL for your login page by typing it into the field after your website’s or blog’s domain name. We urge you to select something random and uneasy to guess URL for your login page. Just make sure you took note of the new URL somewhere secure, so you don’t lose access to your site.
When you’re happy and satisfied with the new URL, click on the Save Changes button.
From now on, you won’t be able to log in to your WordPress dashboard using the default URL, you’ll be able to use the one created by you to do so.
If for some reason you ever want to reverse this process, just deactivate WPS Hide Login from your plugin section, and the URL will return to default.
